Votumumab
Votumumab is a human monoclonal antibody that targets cytokeratin 8 (CK8), an intracellular intermediate filament protein that becomes exposed on the surface of apoptotic tumor cells, enabling tumor-selective antibody binding. It was developed as an immunoconjugate or tumor-targeted antibody for various carcinomas expressing CK8. Its unique target on apoptotic tumor surfaces was investigated for both diagnostic imaging and therapeutic applications.
Cơ chế tác dụng
As a monoclonal antibody, it binds with high specificity to its target antigen, modulating the immune response through mechanisms including receptor blockade, immune cell engagement, or targeted cytotoxicity.
