Zinc Chloride
Zinc chloride is a zinc salt with astringent, antimicrobial, and keratolytic properties used in dentistry as a cavity liner and desensitizing agent, and in topical preparations for treating oral mucosal conditions and minor skin disorders. In nuclear medicine, zinc chloride compounds labeled with radioactive zinc isotopes have been investigated as imaging agents for certain tumors. Industrially, it is also used as a pharmaceutical intermediate and in electrolytic preparations.
