Busulfan
An alkylating agent used to condition patients for bone marrow transplantation by destroying the existing bone marrow and suppressing the immune system to allow engraftment. It is also used in the treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia. Major side effects include severe bone marrow suppression, pulmonary toxicity, and risk of secondary cancers.
