Ipratropium Bromide
This bromide salt of ipratropium is the standard inhaled anticholinergic bronchodilator used for the maintenance treatment of COPD and acute management of asthma. It blocks muscarinic acetylcholine receptors in the lungs to relax airway smooth muscle and reduce secretions. It is also available as a nasal spray for rhinorrhea.
