Bupropion
An antidepressant and smoking cessation aid that inhibits the reuptake of norepinephrine and dopamine in the brain. It is used to treat major depressive disorder, seasonal affective disorder, and to help people quit smoking. Unlike many antidepressants, it does not typically cause sexual dysfunction or weight gain, and is associated with a dose-dependent risk of seizures.

Bupropion combined with tramadol increases the risk of both serotonin syndrome and seizures, representing a serious dual-hazard drug combination.
Bupropion inhibits CYP2D6, significantly increasing venlafaxine plasma concentrations, which may enhance both therapeutic and adverse serotonergic effects.
Bupropion inhibits CYP2D6, modestly increasing quetiapine levels, while also lowering the seizure threshold — both risks are additive.
Bupropion is a potent CYP2D6 inhibitor that substantially increases metoprolol plasma concentrations, potentially causing excessive beta-blockade (bradycardia, hypotension, heart block).
Bupropion, a CYP2D6 inhibitor, significantly increases aripiprazole plasma concentrations, increasing the risk of dose-dependent adverse effects.
