Technetium Tc 99m nofetumomab merpentan is a radiolabeled murine monoclonal antibody fragment targeting a pancarcinoma antigen (NR-LU-10) expressed on epithelial tumors, used for immunoscintigraphic detection of small cell lung cancer and other carcinomas. The antibody fragment format improves tumor-to-background ratios compared to whole antibodies and reduces immunogenicity. It enables staging and restaging of carcinomas expressing the target antigen.
