MRP1 (MRP1)

MRP1
Transporters

Multidrug Resistance-Associated Protein 1 (gene: ABCC1), an ATP-dependent efflux transporter with ubiquitous tissue expression, particularly high in lung, testis, kidney, and peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Transports glutathione conjugates, glucuronides, sulfate conjugates, and unconjugated organic anions. Contributes to chemoresistance in non-P-gp-expressing tumors and protects tissues from oxidative stress via glutathione efflux.

Exemplos

  • Vincristine-glutathione co-transport in resistant leukemia cells
  • Leukotriene C4 (LTC4) efflux from mast cells
  • Etoposide resistance in small cell lung cancer
