## Overview
Lansoprazole and pantoprazole are both effective PPIs, but pantoprazole's minimal CYP2C19 inhibitory activity gives it a clear advantage in patients on antiplatelet or other CYP2C19-sensitive drugs.
## Mechanism of Action
Both irreversibly inhibit H+/K+-ATPase. Both require enteric coating or delayed-release formulation to reach the duodenum intact.
